Lovely old stone long-house situated in tranquil rural location just a short walk along a little used road brings you to the nearby river and forest where marked walking, cycling and riding trails can be joined.
La Petite Longere is a single storey holiday cottage about 60m² in size comprising accommodation as follows: Spacious dual aspect living room with french windows opening onto the terrace, 2 sofas, dining table and 4 chairs, woodburner, flat screen TV, radiator. Kitchen fully equipped for year-round self-catering, hob with 3 gas rings & 1 electric ring, large oven/grill, dishwasher, fridge-freezer, washing machine, towel radiator. Bedroom with plenty of storage space, 1.4 x 2m double bed, bedside tables and lights, 2 easy chairs, radiator, french doors to the rear. Shower room adjacent to the bedroom, shower cubicle, basin with light, mirror and power point over, wc, towel radiator, cupboard, stool.
Private fenced BBQ terrace with built-in stone chimney barbecue. Outdoor dining table with chairs and sunshade plus 2 mesh reclining sun-loungers. Flowering shrubs and herbs edge the terrace. There are far reaching views to the distant forest from the terrace, the sunsets are wonderful. Beyond the terrace the paddock is dotted with oak and cider apple trees. Off-road parking available to the side of the property. Separate safe store room available for cycles, golf clubs, etc. Communal gravelled drive at the front of the gite which is semi-detached with the owners house next door.
This gite is exclusively for adult couples and is not suitable for infants. The double height hallway features restored oak beams and A-frames which have been exposed to illustrate the ancient structure. La Petite Longere bookings are for the ground floor only, the first floor is not in use. The owners live in the house next door so are available to assist guests if required, but take care not to intrude.
About 4km to Plessala, our nearest small town with local shops, weekly market, bar-cafe, creperie, supermarket, fishing lake with park and tennis courts. Plenty of other dining and shopping options available within 10 minute drive. Around 40 minutes drive to a selection of large inland lakes with watersports, the spectacular north coast beaches, international tournament standard golf courses, medieval market towns and historic chateaux.
