The living room has a living room and a pull-out sofa bed that can accommodate two people, a wall-mounted TV and a DVD player with British satellite channels and WiFi.
There is a beautiful cast iron wood stove for cooler evenings.
The kitchen is equipped with stove, hob, extractor, microwave, toaster, kettle and all crockery and cutlery.
A modern spiral staircase leads you down to the bedroom where there is a double bed and a wardrobe. There is a shower, toilet and sink.
Outside there are two terraces, one at the front of the property outside the bedroom for the morning sun, which is ideal for breakfast. The one at the back of the chalet is a large terrace and a lawn. It is equipped with barbecue facilities and sun loungers.
Covered parking is available next to the chalet.
Within a 5-minute drive or 10-minute walk from Rouillac, there is a bakery that is open daily and a small local store for basic groceries.
Broons is the local town (10 min by car) where you will find supermarkets, banks, pharmacy, restaurants and bars / tobacco shop. The market takes place on Wednesdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Jugon-les-Lacs, which is "the Little City of Character", is 15 minutes by car and well worth a visit. It offers a small selection of restaurants and shops, with narrow streets and quaint buildings. It is bordered by two vast lakes offering kayak, pedal boat and fishing, it even has an outdoor lido for the summer months!
A little further on, the medieval town of Dinan, with its 3 km long ramparts, half-timbered buildings and cobbled streets, is one of the most attractive and best-preserved towns in Brittany, transporting you to another era. The first castle of Dinan appears in the Bayeaux tapestry!
A 30-35 minute drive will take you to vast golden beaches along the emerald coast from Val André to Dinard, with its aristocratic mansions on top of a 19th century cliff. The coast offers spectacular walks, water sports, restaurants and coastal towns. Visit Erquy, a traditional fishing port and taste its world-class scallops harvested in the port and transported daily to restaurants in Paris, London and the south of France or visit one of the many weekly markets selling local products and crafts.
Saint-Malo, with its fortified city, is around 45 minutes away and Cancale, famous for its seafood restaurants, is 1 hour away.
The Mont-Saint-Michel, World Heritage Site, is an island located in the bay where Normandy and Brittany merge. It is surmounted by a medieval monastery defying gravity and is considered one of the most unforgettable sites in Europe, a perfect day trip from the chalet.
The city of Rennes, capital of the Brittany region, is about 45 minutes by car offering everything that a big city offers but also steeped in 2000 years of history and culture.
