This beautiful unspoilt area is close to Kielder Forest and Water Park which is fantastic for water enthusiasts, mountain bikers, cyclists and walkers where days out with breathtaking scenery is a daily treat. Kielder Observatory is also worth a visit. The Scottish Carter Bar with easy access to the Scottish Borders is only 18 miles should you wish to venture into Scotland during your stay. The small village of Otterburn is 9 miles with a good outdoor shop based in Otterburn Mill.
Day trips over to the coast don’t take too long and make a lovely change where you can visit the beaches and castles of Northumberland, perhaps stopping at Alnwick Castle and explore the cobbled streets.
