Plage du Havre de Rothéneuf is very pleasant for children, as there are no big waves. It's a small, sheltered beach, easy to keep an eye on. However, you need to keep an eye on the tide times, as the Havre de Rotheneuf empties twice a day :) !
If the tide is low, you can walk to the Val beach through the village, turning left after the tobacconist's and pharmacy.
You can also take a walk along the coastal path, which starts on the left just before Plage du Havre, and leads back past Plage du Havre through the village. Of course, it's possible to go much further along the coastal path, towards Cancale or St Malo.
You can also spend the day in Chausey from St Malo, or visit Dinar by taking the shuttle boat from St Malo!
