Welcome to Dom and Etienne's place: a 300-year-old farmhouse that's been fully restored / single-story studio, unique rooms + bathroom. Fully equipped, kitchen, double or single bed, glass-fronted wood stove, surrounded by nature, quiet and authentic.
30 minutes from 4 ski resorts: Ancelle, La Joue du Loup, Saint Léger les Mélèzes, Laye.
20 minutes from the prestigious climbing cliffs of Céüse, we regularly welcome climbers from all over the world.
1-star/1-ear of corn gîte, 27 m2. Cool in summer thanks to its 1 m thick walls, warm in winter with its eco-friendly exterior insulation.
Large 10-person wood-fired sauna with spring water, open all year round, private for couples. On the edge of the forest for privacy and mountain views.

THE HOUSE
Interior:
Pleasant living room with original stone walls and traditional ceiling, decorated with wood carvings by a local artist. Plates, bowls, cups, jug, salad bowl made by a local potter.
Fully equipped kitchen, electric oven, 3 gas burners, extractor hood, double sink, refrigerator, coffee maker, kettle, toaster...
Maximum 1 pet allowed.
Towels are not provided, but can be supplied for €6 per person. Please let us know before your stay.
Our cottage sleeps 2, but can accommodate 3 (1 child or baby, travel cot provided).
Outside:
Shaded outdoor area with flowers in summer under a large lime tree + 1 area above with a view of Céüse, a prestigious climbing cliff. Barbecue, deckchairs... Free parking.
Relaxation area:
- Sauna (8-10 people) all year round: alternating between “hot and cold” allows you to fully enjoy the positive and relaxing effects of the sauna. Rate with a 25% discount for cottage guests: €20 flat rate + €12/person. Unlimited sessions.
The owner is a mountain guide and, depending on his availability, can offer you a guided hike with or without snowshoes, or recommend walks and lend you IGN maps or suggest nice places to swim. Snowshoe rental on site, $10 per pair/day. Walks starting from the cottage.
Other comments
During the summer school holidays, we prefer weekly rentals from Saturday to Saturday, and in winter a minimum of 3 nights.
Things to do in the area: Etienne, the owner, is a mountain guide and can provide information on walks, swimming, mountain biking, etc.
- Summer: numerous events in Gap (free concerts), guided tours of monuments and villages, open-air theater. Large farmers' market on Saturday mornings and Wednesday mornings, farmers' markets on Tuesdays in La Jarjayes and Wednesdays in Montmaur, village festivals: Tuesdays and Fridays in Rabou... Olympic-size outdoor swimming pool in Gap with two large slides, children's play area, swimming in the river or lake (Pellautier, 5 minutes away), unusual water walks, numerous hikes starting from the cottage or just a little further away (Ecrins National Park, Dévoluy...), pony rides for children (5 minutes away), family canyoning (10 minutes away) and climbing on the prestigious cliffs of Céüse 15 minutes away...
- Winter: numerous snowshoe hikes, ski touring or ski resort 25 minutes away: Ancelle (family resort), La Joue du Loup with over 100 km of slopes... Gap ice rink...
