I am your host, Franck, a former postman. In 2013 I bought this ruined building in the heart of Old Lyon and, passionate about old stone and restoration, I carried out the work myself to open it as a chambre d'hôtes — a guest house. It is an honor to welcome you to this World Heritage quarter, 1969 feet from Place Bellecour. The house has five loges — that is what I call my rooms, more generous and more personal than an ordinary room. Each has its own character, a private bathroom and a flat-screen TV. You reach them through the shared spaces of the house. My son and I live here, and it is a pleasure to welcome you and hand you the keys to your home for the stay. We are around whenever you need us, and never in your way. If you would rather arrive quietly, simply let us know and we will arrange it; and if you are delayed, or something unexpected comes up at the last minute, rest assured, everything is in place for you to reach your loge without waiting. We will welcome you whenever suits you — here, conviviality is chosen, never imposed. Breakfast is included, prepared and served by your hosts. Bed linen, towels and toiletries are provided, and Wi-Fi is free. The tourist tax is paid on arrival. Restaurants and shops are a short walk away. Part-Dieu station is 1.6 mi, the airport 22 mi, and there is a public car park 262 feet away. Just ask for whatever you need — and please forgive any small imperfections; I try to do better every day.
