This beautiful 17th Century manor house is wonderfully located amidst mature gardens on the outskirts of the village of Taulé. The incredibly charming property has been lovingly refurbished and has successfully retained the character of an original French manor house. It boasts a spacious kitchen and dining room which opens onto the veranda, a garden and a sheltered terrace, as well a spacious living area which is ideal for entertaining.
The rooms on the first and ground floor are adorned with exposed beams, stone arches and an impressive central staircase. The bedroom on the first floor includes an ensuite bathroom and opulent four-poster bed, whilst the bedrooms on the second floor are very cosy.
Taulé is a great choice for a relaxing holiday with the family, as the sandy beaches of Carantec are only 10km away (15 minutes by car). Although the house itself is equipped with a games room, including darts, table football, table tennis and board games, be sure to explore the surrounding area including the Bay of Morlaix, where you can discover the picturesque port of Roscoff and its many islands, which are accessible either by ferry or during low tide. Further to the west are the long beaches of Santec and Plougoulm, whilst Barnenez, with its picturesque coves and prehistoric monuments await you to the east. The medieval town of Morlaix, with its half-timbered houses, cobbled streets and harbour is perfect for a relaxing evening stroll.
Guests have full access to the manoir and the grounds/gardens that up the manoir.
Please note that due to rising fuel costs we now need to charge €25 a day to cover heating for the manoir. The manoir runs on oil and we need to cover our costs to keep renting the property. The boiler is set via the Nest and can be increased on request - however, it heats up quickly so you may wish to wait to see if the settings are adequate.
We would kindly ask all guests to ensure that the house is left in the condition you find it - we would ask you to strip the beds, remove all rubbish and take the recycling to the appointed destination. This way we can keep the cleaning fee to a minimum for a property of this type.
