The town features shops and restaurants, a cliff railway and narrow gauge railway, a castle, Arts Centre and the National Library of Wales. The Ystwyth Trail for walking or cycling passes just half a mile from the house, while the area provides ample opportunity for further mountain biking, fishing and other outdoor activities
