Travel cot and highchair. Small front lawned garden with patio and garden furniture. Rear gravelled area with garden furniture. Private parking for 3 cars. No smoking.. A pretty, modern, pet-friendly Pembrokeshire holiday cottage converted from what was once the smithy and smith’s cottage. Set on the hillside leading up to the hilltop village of Mathry, it is cosy, comfortable and features exposed stone walls and a high vaulted ceiling. The spacious kitchen/dining room is a lovely, welcoming family room with open plan stairs leading to a galleried loft bedroom over the kitchen. The owner, who lives in the adjoining, but completely separate cottage, has hand-crocheted beautiful bedspreads for every bed. Leading off the kitchen to the rear is a sun room and gravelled outdoor dining area with table and chairs. The living room (two steps down from the kitchen) has an open fire and a piano for those who are musically inclined to enjoy! The village pub is just a short walk from the property and is a traditional village pub offering a warm welcome and good pub food.
There is wonderful walking and cycling country with easy access either on foot or by car to the numerous coves and beaches along the Pembrokeshire National Park Coastal Path - a beach lover’s paradise. Walk through National Trust Broom Wood to the twin beaches of Abermawr and Aberbach (dogs are welcome all year round), it is never crowded on account of limited parking and a quarter of a mile walk to each.
