Even though records date back to 1040, during 1881 Alfred Waterhouse, one of the most successful British architects of the 19th century, was commissioned to redesign with exquisite finishes The hall stands within substantial acreage, having private woodland and large lawn gardens, including ruins of a fine early Victorian Folly. You can also still see the ruins of the former Chapel Room, and Bell Tower. Tragically over past years, the hall was allowed to fall into disrepair. Today this historic property is undergoing full refurbishment. The restoration process was enormous, and to succeed, a unique opportunity was created, whereby two apartments, boasting character and charm, fully modernised to create private, comfortable and well-equipped accommodations were created to welcome guests.
